Bring some light into your life with these beautiful translucent lanterns. Using versatile porcelain Paperclay ceramicist Emily Joy will show you how to create a variety of lantern shapes using paper-thin sections, embossing and printing methods. Porcelain Paperclay is a truly exciting material which combines the qualities of porcelain but with added paper-fibre to allow increased malleability and to allow you to break the rules of working with normal clay. Once fired the porcelain lanterns will glow beautifully with a candle or electric lighting, creating wonderful three-dimensional effects where objects and patterns have been pressed into the clay.

All the materials and tools are included.  Your lantern will be fired after the workshop and will be available to collect from Victoria Works Studios shortly afterwards.
